Faculty: Sue Mueller
Sue Mueller, Assistant Professor of Music Education, has an extensive background in elementary music having taught K-5 music for over 27 years in the Clark County School District, Las Vegas. She received her bachelors degree in music education with a minor in flute from the University of Kansas, her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction/Fine Arts from Lesley College, Orff Schulwerk Certification Levels I, II, III, and masters class certification. Sue teaches Level I basic pedagogy in the UNLV Orff Schulwerk Teacher Training Course where she previously taught recorder for 12 years. She is an active clinician for many local AOSA (American Orff-Schulwerk Association )chapters, national and state MENC conferences and meetings. Her recent presentations include the MENC National Conference (’06), Orff Schulwerk Symposium in Salzburg, Austria (’06), AOSA National Conference (’03-’06) and Carl Orff Canada (’06). She has served on the National Board of Trustees for the American Orff-Schulwerk Association as Region II Representative, National Conference Chairperson for the 2002 AOSA conference, Vice President and is past AOSA President.
