Voice Area: Graduate Application Process & Audition Information
1. Contact Dr. Janis McKay (Department of Music Graduate Coordinator) to express your interest in applying to UNLV. She may be reached at (702) 895-3929 or by e-mail at janis.mckay@unlv.edu.
2. Contact Dr. Tod Fitzpatrick (702) 895-2540, the Vocal Area Coordinator. He will help facilitate your audition. Typically, our graduate auditions are scheduled by appointment.
3. Audition requirements:
Master of Music
One art song in each of the following languages: English, German, Italian and French.
Please also include at least one operatic or oratorio aria.
For your audition, bring a current resume and repertoire list.
Doctor of Musical Arts
At least twenty minutes of music representative of a variety of styles and languages.
Please include both art songs and arias.
For your audition, bring a current resume and repertoire list.
4. Apply to the Graduate College.
5. Apply for financial assistance through the Graduate College.
