String Orchestra

This small orchestra, directed by George Stelluto, consists of strings alone with an emphasis on developing chamber music skills and rehearsal techniques. String orchestra meets twice a week for 80 minutes, and a final concert is given toward the end of the semester.

Repertoire includes music ranging in styles from the Baroque era to the 20th century.

This course is open to all students (music majors and non-majors) who can demonstrate a proficiency level of at least an intermediate degree on their instruments. Students may be asked to play a brief audition at the beginning of the course.
