Composition Area News
Prof. Virko Baley received a fellowship from Harvard University´s Ukrainian Research Institute. During his residency at Harvard, Prof. Baley will work on his opera Hunger, based on the 1932 Ukrainian famine. Read the story on the Las Vegas Sun
Dr. Jorge Grossmann was one of eight composers to receive a 2007 Aaron Copland Award and a residency at the Copland House. he will be spending three weeks at the Aaron Copland House in 2008.
